Gérald Darmanin has not finished with the Islamist organizations deemed radical by the government.

After the dissolution last Wednesday of the "Coordination against racism and Islamophobia" which, according to the Minister of the Interior, called "for hatred, violence and discrimination", it announced that "seven new structures ”would be“ dissolved by the end of the year ”in the Council of Ministers.

These associations or places of worship are accused of having propagated hate speech and radical Islamism.

Gérald Darmanin also indicated that of the 2,500 Islamic places of worship listed in France, "92 were checked because they were suspected of separatism".

Of these 92 places, "21, he said, have been closed."

Imams of the Allonnes mosque accused of legitimizing the attacks

Speaking at a press conference, Gérald Darmanin welcomed the closure for six months of the Allonnes mosque for "radical practice of Islam", signified Monday by the prefect of Sarthe. "The elements collected show that the leaders of the associations managing the Allonnes mosque as well as the imams officiating there promote, through their speeches, their sermons or the works present in the place of worship, a radical practice of Islam, legitimize recourse to armed jihad, death as a martyr as well as the establishment of Sharia law, while cultivating a feeling of hatred towards France, Westerners, Christians and Jews ”.

“Moreover, he added, they legitimize terrorist attacks, welcome those that have occurred on national territory and seek to mobilize young faithful to prepare for combat”.

"In view of the seriousness of the facts", the minister announced "a report to the judicial authority" and to have "proceeded to freeze the financial assets of associations and their leaders" of this mosque.
