Pancreas cancer

Pancreatic cancer is rarely discovered in its early stages when it is most curable, because it often does not cause symptoms until it has spread to other organs, and treatment options are chosen based on the extent of the spread.

Options may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a combination of these.

Smoking and diabetes are among the factors that may increase the risk of developing the disease.
