Two years to the day after the murder of Shaïna, stabbed and then burned alive at the age of 15 when she was pregnant, a hundred people gathered on Monday in Creil (Oise) for a white march, according to an AFP journalist.

Relatives of the teenager, as well as anonymous people, gathered at midday in former allotment gardens, at the site of the shed - since destroyed - where her body had been discovered.

The young woman raped two years before her murder

Accompanied by elected officials, Shaïna's parents deposited white flowers and then observed a moment of meditation.

Her brother, Yasin Hansye, then spoke to recall "the horror and suffering" suffered by her sister since 2017. Two years before her death, the young girl had indeed been raped in this same city.

“We did everything to make her the young woman she always wanted to be: free.

But unfortunately individuals have decided otherwise and have decided to eliminate my sister, ”he continued.

Yasin Hansye created at the end of 2019 the association “Justice for Shaïna - never again”, in order to fight against violence against women and raise the debate on the place of young girls in the cities.

A trial on gang rape

Pregnant for a few days, Shaïna was first stabbed several times and then burned alive in October 2019. Her boyfriend, a young man aged 17 at the time of the facts, was quickly indicted and detained. Returned to the juvenile assize court, he claims his innocence and appealed against this decision. The appeal hearing before the investigating chamber was set for November 16, behind closed doors.

"All our hopes are based on justice, a justice commensurate with the crimes that have been committed, we only have that," Yasin Hansye insisted on Monday.

At the same time, justice is working on the facts of 2017 and the rape in meetings denounced by the teenager, then 13 years old.

The correctional trial "should take place within a few weeks, a few months, probably before the possible trial at the assizes", according to Me Negar Haeri, lawyer for the family, present this Monday morning in Creil.
