Lenfilm said that Rogozhkin died after a long illness

“Rogozhkin died after a long illness,” a spokesman for the press service told TASS.

Earlier it was reported that Rogozhkin died on October 24 at the age of 72.

The theater and film actor, Honored Artist of Russia Sergei Russkin, in an interview with the Zvezda TV channel in connection with the death of Rogozhkin, said that the deceased director was "the founder of a new direction in Russian cinematography, namely in Russian cinematography."
