As a result, it was announced on the 24th that it was found that the person who died was Mr. Motohiro Sakata (53), a deputy director general of the Cabinet Office Minister's Secretariat living in Kita-ku, Tokyo.



According to the police, Mr. Sakata entered the Northern Alps alone from the Nagano prefecture side on the 18th of last month, and was scheduled to descend two days later, but his wife had reported it to the police because he did not return home.



On the 19th of last month, there was an earthquake in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, which observed shaking with a seismic intensity of 4, and in the surrounding Northern Alps, rockfalls and other factors made it impossible for people to move, and many people were rescued.



Police believe Sakata-san slipped or was caught in a rockfall, but it is unclear if it was related to the earthquake.
