Tragedy in Jordan .. A fire in a restaurant near the university kills 3 people

A restaurant very popular with students of the University of Jordan in Amman witnessed a tragic accident, where three people died after a fire broke out inside the restaurant next to the university in the Jordanian capital, according to what was reported by the official “Kingdom” channel, quoting the Public Security Directorate.

The directorate stated, "Firefighting teams and civil defense ambulances dealt with a fire that broke out in a restaurant near the University of Jordan. The fire resulted in the death of three people."

She added, "The ambulance teams worked to transfer the deaths to the University of Jordan Hospital."

It stated that "people died as a result of exposure to severe burns throughout the body and inhalation of gases emitted from the fire."

And it announced the opening of an investigation to find out the causes of the fire, according to the same source.

The three people working in the restaurant, were preparing the work, when the fire broke out, which claimed their lives.

According to sources, the fire broke out inside Joanna Restaurant near the northern gate of the University of Jordan, due to a gas leak.

The university holiday on Saturday prevented the occurrence of a greater number of victims, as students are present on weekdays in large numbers in that area.
