Shocked Hollywood mourns the cinematographer who accidentally killed an actor!

Grieving Hollywood raced Friday to mourn cinematographer Helena Hutchins after she was accidentally shot and killed by Alec Baldwin during the filming of a movie.

The 42-year-old was the director of photography for the movie "Rust" when she was killed Thursday when Baldwin fired a pistol.

Her grieving colleagues and friends are urging the world to focus on Hutchins and her incredible talent, at a time when controversy rages in the film industry over the type of weapon used in the film's shooting and Baldwin's role in the accident.

"I really want to focus on remembering someone who is incredibly talented... the craftsmanship she's been bringing to this industry... That's what she really was... Not to mention her personality and being a wonderful mother... Just remember her for what she did," said fellow cinematographer Andrei Semenyuk. .. with her talent .. with her achievements ».

Hutchins was born in Ukraine, and her work in Los Angeles includes thirty-two films, including "Archienemi" starring Joe Manganiello.

"I am shocked," Manganiello said on Twitter. "I was very fortunate to have Halina Hutchins as director of photography for Archenemy. Fantastic talent and great personality. I can't believe this could happen in this day and age... A shooting from a pistol could kill a movie worker? What a horrific tragedy.. my heart goes out to her family.”

Hutchins' website reports that she grew up at a Soviet military base in the Arctic Circle. She began working as an investigative journalist before moving to the United States to study at the American Film Institute, eventually taking up cinematography, a male-dominated job. American Cinema Photographer magazine said about her in 2019 that she is a rising star.

And the last thing she posted on her Instagram account was a video of her riding a horse in New Mexico.

"Halina Hutchins has been a ray of light...always smiling...always optimistic," Innovative Artists said in a statement.

She decided early on to break into the field of cinematography and the past two years have proven that she has been pretty good at it.

Her talent was unique, and nothing but the love that she had for her family was greater than her talent.

Everyone who was close to her knew what was to come. A shining director of photography would have been a force to be reckoned with.”
