In Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture, a sales event was held to collect non-standard apples in an attempt to support apple farmers whose shipments are declining due to bad weather around spring.

This sales event was held at a tourist product center in Sukagawa City and JA in an attempt to support local farmers.

In Sukagawa City, apples and other apples were damaged by frost during the flowering season, causing them to die, and by June, they were also damaged by hail.

At the sales event, 10 non-standard apples that grew late and were small or changed in color were packed in bags for 500 yen.

There was a line before the store opened, and visitors were buying one after another.

The apples are said to have sold out in the morning.

A man in his 60s said, "I hope that purchasing will help farmers as much as possible."

Also, a woman in her thirties said, "I happened to pass by, but I can buy it cheaply, so I would like to buy it again if I have the opportunity."
