[Explanation] Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, as an important green ecological barrier and main water conservation area in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, is not only an important wetland ecological function area in the country, but also an important part of the "China Water Tower".

In late October, the reporter visited a number of ecological protection areas in Aba, Sichuan, in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, and learned about the results of local water source protection.

Located in Hongyuan County, Aba Prefecture, Moon Bay is a section of the Baihe River, an important water source on the upper reaches of the Yellow River. In 2017, the Moon Bay AAAA-level scenic spot was successfully completed in the local area. Under protective development and operation, Moon Bay has maintained a beautiful natural appearance. And the rich biodiversity has always been a "resting place" for the black-necked crane, a national first-class protected animal, to migrate and live in the winter.

According to the person in charge of the scenic spot, during the planning and construction of the Moon Bay scenic spot, the grassland wetlands were protected to the greatest extent in terms of infrastructure, tourism projects, and civilized persuasion.

First of all, we have divided the area of the scenic area. Tourists at close distances in the river are not allowed to go. The rafting project is also very good. However, for ecological protection, we canceled the rafting, and the river has also done this turf restoration.

(Hanoi) Wild fish are banned.

(Visitors) can well observe the original ecology of the overall grassland landscape, without any man-made buildings and man-made behaviors.

In the industry chain, there is no waste gas generated by factories, and there is no pollution.

[Explanation] The Ruoergai Flower Lake scenic spot after snow is wrapped in silver, yaks graze leisurely, waterfowls play on the lake, and the sun shimmers through the clouds from time to time in the water.

Looking at the beautiful flower lake in front of me, who would have thought that it had faced a crisis of drying up.

Due to global warming and falling groundwater levels, a large number of wet swamps disappeared or degenerated into semi-wet swamps or dry swamps.

Huahu dropped from 386 hectares in the late 1970s to 215 hectares in 2009.

In order to prevent the Huahu wetland ecosystem from shrinking and degrading further, in 2010, Zoige County implemented the Huahu Wetland Ecological Restoration Project, built an ecological dam of 1,740 meters, raised the water level of the Huahu Lake by 52 cm, and expanded the lake area to 650 hectares to restore the Huahu Lake. Wetland and surrounding semi-wet marshes and dry marshes are 892 hectares.

We also did not use a piece of reinforced concrete. We rammed the whole clay and built a dam, expanding the current water area to more than 640 hectares.

In terms of rodent (rabbit) protection in the reserve, we have improved the biodiversity of the reserve through scientific means, which has achieved the increase in the population of wild animals, and ultimately will achieve the effect of (biological chain) mutual restriction.

While protecting the ecological environment, while increasing the income of herdsmen, we also let the people increase their awareness of environmental protection.

[Explanation] The Yellow River flowing in the Tangke grassland is called "Maqu" by the locals.

Winding around the vast expanse of wilderness, it forms a magnificent landscape of "The First Bay of Nine Songs of the Yellow River" with a graceful style of 180 degrees.

However, due to inadequate construction of river embankments and serious erosion of river banks, river courses and boundaries have been shifted, and production materials such as pastures and arable land of farmers and herdsmen along river banks have been affected. Erosion has increased the amount of sediment in the main stream and branch of the Yellow River.

As the local government increases investment in the protection and management of inland rivers and lakes in the basin, the amount of water conservation in the Yellow River Basin has been increasing year by year, and the amount of sediment entering the river has been decreasing year by year.

Focus on protection, do not engage in large-scale development, and carry out water and soil conservation work steadily. Through the ecological construction projects of water ecological environment, forest and grass wetland and other departments, a total of 277 square kilometers of soil erosion has been controlled, forest and grass resources have been effectively protected, and grazing has been restored. The effect of returning farmland to forests has been consolidated, the protection of wild animals and plants has been significantly improved, and the water and soil conservation capabilities of the river basin have been continuously improved.
