On October 21st, in Changdu, Tibet Autonomous Region, the two main sources of the Lancang River, Zhaqu and Angqu, became a distinct wonder after the confluence of Changdu.

On the same day, the water quality of the Angqu watershed was turbid with heavy rainfall, and the water quality of the Zhaqu watershed was relatively clear. The confluence of the two rivers was well-defined, forming a rare spectacle.

Zhaqu and Angqu were called the Lancang River after they converged here. Changdu means "water confluence" in Tibetan. Nowadays, there is a monument to the origin of the Lancang River in Qamdo.
