Director Yeon Sang-ho's new film 'Hell' has emerged as a highly anticipated film that will succeed the popularity of 'Squid Game'.
'Hell' is a work depicting the story of a supernatural phenomenon in which people are sentenced to hell by the messengers of hell who appeared without notice, and the religious organization Saejinrihoe, which was revived in this chaos, and those trying to uncover the truth of the incident are intertwined.
It is the first drama produced by director Yeon Sang-ho, who gained worldwide recognition for 'Train to Busan', in partnership with Netflix. As it will be released in 180 countries, it is expected that overseas fans of Yeon Sang-ho will show great interest.
As the release date approaches in about a month, Netflix is spurring the promotion of 'Hell'.

The fear and confusion of a man burning like punishment in front of 'The Lion of Hell' or being chased by the 'Lion of Hell' in the middle of Seoul adds curiosity to another dystopian world created by director Yeon Sang-ho. 'The messengers of hell' that have never been seen before, where do they really come from and what is the meaning of their demonstration of going to hell? People's expectations for the story of 'hell' are growing day by day.
Even before its release, it has been invited to major domestic and international film festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival, the BFI London Film Festival, and the Busan International Film Festival.Hell' is based on a webtoon of the same name, which was praised as "the most shocking work in webtoon history" and scored a rating of 9.77.
Director Yeon Sang-ho, who said, "I worked with the possibility of visualizing it from the moment I started working on the webtoon," worked with Choi Gyu-seok, the writer of 'Awl', who worked with the original work, to build a stronger worldview of 'Hell'.
They uncovered human weakness and fear through the supernatural phenomenon of 'hell's messengers' appearing in the middle of Seoul and demonstrating the journey to hell, and sharply captured the various human groups that take place in the chaos.
