The operation resulted in 26 reports of unsuitable speed and 13 tickets for parking prohibited.

A deadly urban rodeo

The next afternoon, similar arrangements were put in place.

Police issued two tickets for using a phone while driving and an illegible license plate.

The operations follow the death of an 81-year-old woman hit by a motorcycle in Clermont-Ferrand on Thursday evening.

The driver of the two-wheeler was participating in an urban rodeo in the Croix-de-Neyrat district and was wheeling around at the time of the accident.
