With the theme of "Inheritance and Integration", the meeting invited well-known domestic experts in the field of cave temple protection research, as well as many scholars from universities, research institutes, and Shaanxi Cave Temple Protection Research Center to discuss the research, protection, inheritance and development of cave temples.

  Zhou Kuiying, deputy secretary and deputy director of the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, said that the cave temple is a product of cultural exchanges and integration between China and foreign countries, and is one of China's most important cultural heritages.

As the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, Shaanxi was the place where the ancient civilizations meet.

The cultural relics of cave temples are widely distributed in Shaanxi Province and there are many in number. However, there are still many problems to be solved in the research, protection and inheritance of cultural relics of cave temples in Shaanxi.

It is hoped that experts and scholars will use the opportunity of this seminar to provide suggestions for the protection, research and utilization of Shaanxi Cave Temple cultural relics, brainstorm and build consensus, and further improve the level of research and protection and utilization of Shaanxi Cave Temple.

  On September 8, the Shaanxi Province Cave Temple Conservation Research Center was established.

The center is jointly established by 12 universities and scientific research institutes in Shaanxi Province. It aims to promote the special survey and archaeological research of the cave temples in Shaanxi Province, strengthen the academic research work of Shaanxi cave culture, play a scientific and technological support and lead role, and organize development Protection of cave temples and stone carvings.

  This meeting is the first high-level academic exchange meeting organized by the center after the establishment of the center. It will further strengthen communication and exchanges between industries, deepen cooperation and mutual learning in the field of cultural heritage protection such as cave temples, and improve the research and protection management of cave temples in Shaanxi. The level is of great significance.

  This seminar was sponsored by the Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics and Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Site Administration, and co-organized by the Shaanxi Cave Temple Conservation Research Center, Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Conservation Research Institute, and Yan'an Cultural Relics Research Institute.
