In 1955 no radio station wanted to play the controversial titles of Georges Brassens… except one: Europe 1. On the occasion of the centenary of his birth on October 22, 1921 in Sète, Europe 1 pays homage to Georges Brassens, Thursday October 21 and Friday October 22 , by devoting a dedicated program to it as well as an unprecedented sound track produced from exclusive archives of the station. "Georges Brassens… I have an appointment with you"… is the story of an appointment. you with a radio station, its listeners and an exceptional artist.

Thursday, October 21, 2021:

Listeners will experience a special Georges Brassens evening from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Europe 1. 

From 8 p.m. and for one hour, Mouloud Achour offers a special 

Verveine Underground program. 

He will review Brassens' career, along with author and columnist Saphia Westphael. 

From 9 p.m. Europe 1 will broadcast a new documentary entitled “ 

Georges Brassens… I have an appointment with you

 ”.

Through its archives, Europe 1 invites listeners to draw a sonorous and delicate portrait of this mythical figure of French culture.

Music, nature, rebellion, humanity, poetry… five themes to discover five facets of the artist.
