According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, there are 292 fraudulent applications and receipts of "employment adjustment subsidies" that can be used by companies affected by the new coronavirus to maintain employment, amounting to more than 2.3 billion yen. I did.

Cases of instructing fraud have been confirmed on SNS, etc., and police and others are calling attention.

The "employment adjustment subsidy" is a subsidy for a part of the leave allowance, etc. when the company maintains employment by taking a rest from employees, and is subsidized under the influence of the spread of the new coronavirus infection. Special measures have been taken to raise the rate.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, 4.82 million cases and 4,654 billion yen have been paid so far, but on the other hand, frauds are occurring one after another, and by the end of last month, 292 cases, about 2.33 million, including attempts. I found that it was worth 10,000 yen.

In reality, there are many cases in which the subsidies received are used as working capital for the company by pretending that the employees who are working are resting.

In addition, on SNS, there are multiple posts that receive a fee and direct fraud, and it is confirmed that there is a method of applying using a company that does not actually exist.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, "Please be careful of companies that teach you how to apply and get a fee. For malicious fraud, we will consider publishing the company name and criminal accusation."

Woman with fraudulent application "I really regret"

A woman in her 50s said she had filed an application for fraudulent receipt of an employment adjustment subsidy.

Women are usually part-time employees and are not eligible for subsidies because they are not business owners, but they contacted me after seeing a note on SNS stating that anyone could receive it.

The other party instructed me to send identification materials such as a driver's license, and I paid about 60,000 yen as a fee.

The woman recalled her feelings at the time, saying, "I was told that'other people have also applied and been accepted'and I started to think that it shouldn't be a bad thing."

After that, the woman was asked to apply through an unrealistic company to receive the subsidy, so she was worried that it might be illegal and consulted with a lawyer.

The woman said, "I thought it was a delicious story at first, but now I really regret it. I vowed that I would never touch any suspicious information on SNS."

Lawyer "Fraud is a very serious crime. Be careful."

There have been a series of malicious cases of being caught by the police for being involved in the illegal receipt of employment adjustment subsidies.

According to the National Police Agency, by last month, 15 people were caught nationwide for illegally receiving employment adjustment subsidies and emergency employment stabilization subsidies.

Mikio Uehara, a former prosecutor who is familiar with fraud cases, said, "There are many suspicious profit stories related to national subsidies and benefits on SNS etc. The feature is to invite them by saying, "There is no such thing."

He added, "Although there are many cases of fraudulent involvement with a very light feeling, fraudulent crimes are extremely heavy crimes with imprisonment of up to 10 years and no fines. Antisocial organizations may be involved. So please be careful. "
