Why do we need to boost immunity?

  After vaccination, as time goes by, some recipients' immunity to the new coronavirus will decrease, increasing the chance of infection with the new coronavirus, so a booster shot is required.

Carrying out enhanced immunization is of great significance for protecting susceptible people and effectively curbing the spread of the epidemic.

Who can be vaccinated with "enhanced shots"?

  In accordance with the requirements of the State Council's joint prevention and control mechanism, Beijing has implemented enhanced immunization for people aged 18 and over who have been vaccinated against the new coronavirus for 6 months.

  (1) Key populations with high risk of infection and disease transmission, including border ports, customs, immigration, international transportation, medical and health, prison personnel, and personnel going abroad; public security, fire protection, emergency, transportation, logistics (including cold chain) ), cold-chain food, postal delivery, elderly care, mental health benefits, sanitation, etc. to maintain basic social operations; water, electricity, heating, coal, gas and other basic living materials to ensure the supply of key occupational groups; education industry, service industry, manufacturing Practitioners in labor-intensive industries and labor-intensive industries; senior citizens aged 60 and above who meet the vaccination requirements and need vaccination;

  (2) Major event protection and participation personnel, including Winter Olympics, Winter Paralympics and other major event protection personnel and participants;

  (3) Relevant populations in key areas that need to cooperate with epidemic prevention and control to strengthen immunization, including vaccine manufacturers, centralized isolation points, airports, large-scale exhibition venues, etc.

  Provide booster immunization services for other people who meet the vaccination requirements and need vaccination.

How to vaccinate the "enhanced shot"?

  At this stage, it is first carried out for key populations with high risk of infection and disease transmission, and vaccinations are organized through a centralized organization of various industries and units.

The general population who meet the vaccination requirements and have vaccination needs can receive enhanced immunization through unit organization, community, and vaccination site registration and appointment.

Where to get the "booster shot"?

  In principle, the booster vaccination should be carried out in the area where the first or second dose of vaccination is located, and the key populations who give priority to vaccination should be vaccinated in accordance with the unified arrangement of the relevant industry departments.

The sites for enhanced immunization in various districts can be found on the website of the Beijing Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

What vaccines can be vaccinated for booster immunization at this stage?

  Currently, the vaccines that can be used for booster immunization in Beijing include the inactivated vaccines of Sinopharm Zhongsheng Beijing Company and Beijing Kexing Company and the adenovirus vector vaccines of Tianjin Kangsino Company.

How long can the "strengthening shot" be given?

  Citizens can only choose to vaccinate the "booster shot" 6 months after they have completed the full vaccination of the new coronavirus vaccine. In principle, the original vaccine that has been vaccinated should be used for booster immunization.

  (1) People who use the same inactivated vaccine to complete two doses of vaccination, in principle, use the original inactivated vaccine for one dose booster immunization;

  (2) People who use different inactivated vaccines to complete two doses of vaccination, in principle, give priority to using the same vaccine as the second dose of inactivated vaccine for one dose booster immunization. If the second dose of the same vaccine cannot continue to be supplied, etc. The same vaccine as the first dose of inactivated vaccine can be used for 1 booster immunization;

  (3) People who are vaccinated with adenovirus vector vaccines should be boosted with the original vaccine.
