The Egyptian Ministry of Interior published a photo of the mobile phone thief who was arrested after he stole a journalist's phone during a live broadcast watched by millions of people.
The ministry said in a statement that it had monitored an "unidentified" person riding a motorcycle hijacking a mobile phone from a reporter on a news website when he was on the ring road in the Bahtim area in the Second Division of Shubra al-Khaimah in Qalyubia while he was broadcasting a live video clip using the mobile phone and fled.
The ministry indicated that the efforts of the research team formed under the leadership of the Public Security Sector and with the participation of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Qalyubia Security Directorate, resulted in the fact that behind the commission of the incident, an "unemployed" resident in the Qalyub Police Station Department, and after legalizing the procedures, he was targeted and could be seized in his place of residence, as well as the motorcycle used in the commission of the incident. .
Confronting the accused, he confessed to committing the incident, and he led the seized mobile phone to a dealer.
