The mountains are endless, the precipices are ups and downs, and the Yellow River is like a giant dragon zigzag in the gully.

Recently, the interview team of the "China on the Mother River" web-themed event walked into Yonghe Qiankun Bay, Shanxi, to explore this extraordinary natural landscape and get a glimpse of the vicissitudes of the Loess Plateau.

The Yellow River flows through Shanxi Yonghe for about 68 kilometers, forming seven large bays from north to south, collectively called the Yellow River Qiankun Bay. It is the largest, most well-preserved and densely-developed serpentine group on the main stream of China.

In 2007, Qiankun Bay was approved as the Yellow River Snake Qu National Geological Park.
