On the afternoon of October 18, the "Millennium Canal Journey" and "Fall in Love with the Grand Canal" Chinese and foreign media gathering activities came to the Xuecheng District of Zaozhuang to visit the red scenic area of the railway guerrillas closely related to the Grand Canal.

Zaozhuang is a famous anti-Japanese city in modern history. In addition to the famous Taierzhuang battle, the railway guerrillas are also well-known.

The railway guerrillas were the Lunan Railway Brigade that belonged to the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army during the Anti-Japanese War.

It is understood that the railway guerrilla red tourist attraction is located at the east end of Linshan Road, Xuecheng District, Zaozhuang. It is mainly composed of three parts: the railway guerrilla monument, the railway guerrilla group sculpture, and the railway guerrilla memorial hall.

Among them, the railway guerrilla memorial is located in the center of the memorial park. It is 33 meters high and covers an area of 2,000 square meters. It was completed in August 1995.

The Railway Guerrillas Memorial Hall opened in July 2019. It covers an area of 9.75 acres and has a total exhibition area of about 6000 square meters. It is divided into upper and lower floors.

In the center of the exhibition hall is a 54-meter-long locomotive and a carriage during the War of Resistance Against Japan, which boarded the train through the iron bridge.

In the carriage, the scene of the railway guerrilla fighting on the train was presented through projection.

In addition, the exhibition hall also displays the daily necessities such as cotton clothes and water bottles worn by the guerrillas, combat weapons such as machine guns, grenades, mortars, and weapons and equipment captured by the Japanese army.

After the event, a group of Chinese and foreign media reporters from the "Millennium Canal Journey" took a group photo in front of the railway guerrilla monument.
