Name change approved - Kanye West becomes "Ye"

Now the name change has been approved and Kanye Omari West is now simply called "Ye", reports Deadline.

The American artist states "personal reasons" for the name change and has in previous interviews said that he believes that "ye" is the most used word in the Bible and that it means "you".

It is still unclear how Kim Kardashian West, who filed for divorce from Kanye West in February but continues to keep his previous surname, is reacting to the name change.
