At elementary and junior high schools in Obanazawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, a luxurious lunch using "Obanazawa beef" known as high-class Japanese beef was offered.

The council, which is made by producers of "Obanazawa beef", provides ingredients to local elementary and junior high schools every year and serves them as school lunches so that children can taste the special beef.

Last year it was canceled due to the influence of the new coronavirus, but this was the first time in two years that seven elementary and junior high schools in the city provided lunch using Obanazawa beef.

Of these, at Obanazawa Elementary School, a total of 420 children and faculty members were prepared.

In the 6th grade classroom, when the representative of the children greeted "I'll have it", the children enjoyed more luxurious meals such as bibimbap using Obanazawa beef and freshly harvested new rice.

This year, 50 kg of Obanazawa beef was provided to all seven schools in the city.

The boy said, "It was tastier than regular beef."
