The Turkish president arrived in Togo on Tuesday, 6 months after the opening of the Turkish embassy in the country.
It is the second country visited by Recep Tayyip Erdogan as part of a West African tour, ahead of the third Turkey-Africa summit to be held in December.
A way of "
carving out the stature of a politician capable of modifying the international game
", according to the former director of the French Institute of Anatolian Studies Jean-François Pérouse.
