My ambition is to leave

" declared Laurent Gbagbo solemnly to his supporters during the congress which saw the birth of his party, the PPA-CI.

At the same time the former Ivorian president assured that he would be in politics until his death.

He was also elected by acclamation this weekend president of this Party of African Peoples - Ivory Coast.

A party that he wants socialist, sovereignist, but also and above all pan-Africanism.
