Hamburg extends the 2-G regulation to hairdressers, other body-friendly services and parts of the retail trade.

Corona-vaccinated and convalescent people can then use participating facilities without a mask from Saturday, unvaccinated people will then not have access, as Vice-Senate spokeswoman Julia Offen said on Tuesday.

In this way, the operators could decide for themselves whether they want to use 2G without a mask or continue to serve unvaccinated customers with a mask.

Shops for daily needs such as food retailers, drug stores and pharmacies are excluded from the option.

Unvaccinated people should also be able to shop there in the future.

The new Corona regulation comes into force on Saturday.

According to the information, there will be no lifting of all corona restrictions.

The city-wide ban on the sale of alcohol outside the home should continue to apply from 10 p.m.

Christmas market operators should be able to decide whether they want to operate their markets according to the 2G or 3G rule.

Ischgl relies on cold fogging devices

The Austrian winter sports resort of Ischgl is also optimistic about the future. This year's winter season will start there on November 25, accompanied by extensive anti-corona measures. "The aim is and will remain to be one of the safest destinations in the Alpine region for our guests," said Alexander von der Thannen from the Paznaun-Ischgl tourist office. The cable car cabins would be disinfected with cold fogging devices. The same method is also used daily in the ski buses as well as in sports shops, ski depots, toilet facilities, elevator cabins and the first aid stations, it said. Camera systems are intended to optimize waiting times at the cash registers and lifts by means of density measurements and mobility analyzes.

Ischgl hit the international headlines in the first Corona wave in March 2020.

The authorities are said to have reacted too late to clear indications that the corona virus is rampant in the village.

Numerous tourists - many from Germany - have been infected and brought the virus back to their home countries.

The winter season 2020/21 canceled the place for security reasons.

The official official regulations are still missing for the upcoming winter season in Austria.

However, it is foreseeable that the 3G rule (tested, vaccinated or recovered) will apply to ski operation and that an FFP2 mask will be required at least for cable car cabins and in closed areas.

Seven-day incidence is increasing

The seven-day incidence in Germany has meanwhile increased for the sixth day in a row. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Tuesday morning as 75.1. For comparison: the previous day the value was 74.4, a week ago it was 65.8, in the previous month it was 70.5. The health authorities in Germany reported 6771 new corona infections to the RKI within one day. This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 4.18 a.m. A week ago the value was 4971 infections.

According to the new information, 88 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours - exactly as many as a week ago.

The RKI has counted 4,384,616 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.
