Recently, Shichuan Ancient Pear Orchard, known as "the world's first ancient pear orchard," ushered in a bumper harvest.

Walking into the pear orchard, the fruit grower is like an "acrobat", stepping on a single wooden ladder that is more than ten meters long to pick pears.

This kind of centipede-shaped single wooden ladder is a unique local farm tool ladder. Fruit farmers who can operate such farm tools are called "heaven handle".

During spring management and autumn picking, the "sky handle" will step on the "cloud ladder" to shuttle between the branches of pears.

This technique is a physical and technical activity, and is listed as a provincial-level intangible cultural heritage in Gansu.

Shichuan Ancient Pear Garden is located in Gaolan County, Lanzhou City. The contiguous pear orchard covers an area of more than 10,000 mu. There are more than 9,000 ancient pear trees that are more than 100 years old. The oldest pear trees are more than 400 years old.

It was entered into the "Guinness Book of World Records" in 2013.
