Fumio Yamamoto is from Yokohama, and his work he wrote while working for a company won the Junior Novel Award and made his debut as a writer.



After that, he began to write novels for the general public, and in 1999 he received the Eiji Yoshikawa Literature Newcomer Award for "Ren'ai Chudoku" and in 2001 he received the Naoki Prize for his short story "Planarian" consisting of five novels. ..



After that, Mr. Yamamoto developed depression and stopped writing activities, but after about 6 years of treatment, he resumed writing, and in September last year, the novel "Revolves while rotating" for the first time in 7 years. I will do it. "



According to the publisher, Mr. Yamamoto became ill around the spring of this year and continued to receive medical treatment at his home in Karuizawa Town, Nagano Prefecture, but died of pancreatic cancer on the 13th of this month.
