Recently, the interview group of the “China on the Mother Riverside” web-themed event walked into the Yongle Palace in Ruicheng, Shanxi, to get a glimpse of its extraordinary charm.

This largest surviving Taoist palace in China was built between the 13th and 14th centuries and is famous for its frescoes comparable to Dunhuang.

  The Yongle Palace building is currently the only official building complex of the Yuan Dynasty that is relatively intact in the country, and it is also called an official building.

Its murals represent the highest level of temple murals in China in the 13th and 14th centuries, which reached the pinnacle of art at that time.

Our murals are comparable to those of Dunhuang and are known as the "Oriental Art Gallery".

  [Explanation] The mural paintings in Yongle Palace, covering an area of ​​more than 1,000 square meters, are magnificent and fluent in brushwork. The hundreds of figures painted are extensively listed, and their costumes are different. They are not only important masterpieces in the history of Chinese painting, but also rare in the history of painting in the world. The giant system.

The playwright Ma Shaobo once praised: Tang and Song dynasties are full of legacy, which can be called the best in the world.

  The traditional culture of the Central Plains has a tradition since the Tang and Song dynasties. In the past, temple mural paintings have been handed down since the Tang dynasty by painters who specialize in temple mural paintings.

So we have come here to see that it is all about our traditional Chinese culture. For example, we used to talk about Dunhuang or Yungang. It has elements of foreign culture. Many teachers said that this can only be copied and cannot be surpassed. .

  [Explanation] More than 60 years ago, the entire building and huge murals of Yongle Palace staged a "Great Shift of the Universe". Ancient architecture experts Qi Yingtao and Chai Zejun conducted several experiments on the removal and relocation of the murals, and finally determined the relocation plan. In the past 10 years, it moved to the east of Longquan Village in the north of the county.

  (19) In 56 years, our country decided to build the Sanmenxia Reservoir in order to eradicate the floods of the Yellow River. It happened to be Yongle Palace. It was in Yongle Town, right by the Yellow River, right in the flooded area of ​​the reservoir area. At that time, the Yellow River’s water storage was more than 350 meters. Let’s Yongle. The palace is more than 330 meters above sea level, and it happens to be in the reservoir area. We also know that there was no money, no people, no experience and no foreign aid. Under such a situation, our country decided to use the national strength to relocate and protect Yongle Palace. .

  [Explanation] Since 2016, the roofs of all ancient buildings in Yongle Palace have been completely repaired, and at the same time, it has cooperated with the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University, the Chinese Cultural Heritage Research Institute, the Dunhuang Research Institute, and the Yungang Research Institute.

In response to the problems in the murals, the largest mural restoration project in history was launched.

  Our next step is to strengthen the two transformations. One is to increase the transformation from rescue protection to preventive protection, further put preventive protection in place, and eliminate hidden dangers in the bud. This is the first one.

Secondly, we also pay attention to the protection of cultural relics and protect the surrounding environment of cultural relics. The environment of cultural relics is also a kind of cultural relics. It is our biggest wish to protect the original ecological environment of cultural relics.

  [Explanation] Currently, Yongle Palace, as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, receives about 300,000 visitors annually, including many overseas Chinese, as well as tourists from Japan, South Korea, Germany, France and other places.
