Report against a Lebanese artist: She must be deported from Egypt

A lawyer submitted a complaint to the Egyptian Public Prosecutor against the Lebanese actress and singer Dolly Shaheen, for not claiming that she was subjected to a brutal attack by unknown persons, and that her claim was proven false, and that it was just an advertisement for her new series.

Lawyer Ayman Mahfouz said in the statement, the details of which were published by the newspaper, “Akhbar Al-Youm”: “The pursuit of fame at the expense of security efforts is still extracting the worst from us. And it worked to disturb the security and societal peace, and the surprise came that this was an advertisement for a series that the artist is working on.”

The communication added: "These reckless acts represent the crime of false reporting and disturbing the authorities, and whoever reported this false news in bad faith deserves the prescribed punishment, as it was done in Article 305 of the Penal Code, that whoever was told a false thing with bad intent deserves the punishment, even if it was not obtained from him." A rumor other than the aforementioned news, and he did not file a lawsuit with what he was told, and jurisprudence and the judiciary alike have established that the pillars of a false report are reporting to the parties with bad faith and with the intent of an incident proven to be false that required punishment for its perpetrator.

In his communication against Dolly Shaheen, the lawyer added that she deserves the punishment stipulated in Article 188 of Penalties: A penalty of imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year and a fine of no less than five thousand pounds, and not more than 20 thousand pounds, or one of these two penalties, whoever publishes with malicious intent in one of the foregoing methods. He mentioned false news, statements, rumors, or fake or forged papers, or falsely attributed to others, if that would disturb the public peace.

He referred to the articles of accusation against Dolly Shaheen, saying that she deserves the penalties stipulated in Articles 25 and 27 of the new Internet law, in which the penalty amounts to 3 years in prison and a fine of 300,000 pounds, on charges of destroying family values, misusing the Internet and creating an account with the intention of facilitating a crime.

At the end of his communication, which bore No. 134544 for the year 2021, the Attorney General’s petitions demanded the application of the texts of the articles of indictment, and to prevent Dolly Shaheen from entering Egyptian territory and immediately deport her from Egypt after her trial, and to impose the maximum penalty on her, cancel her work permits in Egypt, and take the necessary legal action.

And the media advisor to Dolly Shaheen, Issam Milad Nasrallah, had published news on his page on the social networking site "Facebook" about the assault on her and calls for her recovery, and then today he publishes press materials related to the fact that the photos of the assault are part of the Mamluk series.
