China .. A man burns his ex-wife during a live broadcast on the Internet

A Chinese court has sentenced a man to death for killing his ex-wife, by burning her during a live broadcast on the Internet, which led to her death.

This is according to the American newspaper "Washington Post".

The victim, Lamu, was very popular on the "Doyen" application, a Chinese version of the "Tik Tok" application, where she gained thousands of followers, and garnered millions of likes for not using cosmetics in her clips.

But in reality, the 30-year-old blogger was struggling to escape her abusive husband despite her repeated pleas to the police and courts for help.

Lamo eventually divorced him, but in September 2020, while she was giving a live broadcast on the Internet, he suddenly broke into the photo, poured gasoline on it and set it on fire.

Two weeks after the attack, Lamo died of severe burns that affected 90 percent of her body.

Last Thursday, a Chinese court convicted her ex-husband, Tang Lu, of murder and sentenced him to death for a "cruel" act that had a "very bad" social impact.
