Actor Oh Young-soo of Netflix's original 'Squid Game', who rejected an advertisement from a chicken franchise company, revealed his view of life.

Oh Young-soo had an interview with Yoo Jae-seok and Kim Mi-joo on MBC's 'What Do You Do When You Play?' broadcast on the 16th. Oh Young-soo, who has been mainly active in the theater industry for 56 years, is receiving a lot of attention from movie fans around the world at the age of 76 when 'Squid Game' recently recorded the top spot on Netflix worldwide.

Oh Young-soo said, "I get a lot of calls. (close) Actor Park Jung-ja said, 'How does it feel to be a world star?'" and "My daughter really likes this program, and she told me a lot to do well by appearing on it. My daughter is Yoo Jae-seok. I like him a lot too,” he said.

Oh Young-soo appeared as Yoo Nam in 'Squid Game' and acted innocently participating in the game. In particular, the so-called 'Kanbu' scene in which he plays marbles with Sung Ki-hoon (Lee Jung-jae) became a big topic on the Internet. Kkanbu Chicken, a chicken brand of the same name, also offered Oh Young-soo as an advertising model. However, it is known that Oh Young-soo refused, saying, "I want to focus on my position as an actor."

When asked, "If you suddenly have 45.6 billion won in your bank account, what would you want to do first?" Oh Young-soo said, "I didn't think about it, but I think I'll give it back to society. There is nothing other than helping my daughter do what she wants to do comfortably. Maybe. At this age, I don't have much desire for possession."

Oh Young-soo said, "I've been receiving a lot of things, little or no, in my life. Now I feel like I want to leave behind all the things I've been given. Let's talk easily. If there are flowers in the mountains, I pick them up when I'm young, but when I'm old, I leave them alone and go back to see them. Life is like that too. "It's not easy to just leave it as it is," he said.

Hearing this, Mi-joo was moved and burst into tears.

Oh Young-soo comforted the younger generation, saying, "In our society, it seems like we shouldn't be in first place, but if you think about it, second place is a winner for third place, and we are all winners. told

After graduating from Dongguk University's Department of Theater and Film, Oh Young-soo has been working in a theater company since 1963.

He played the role of a monk in Maneun works such as the movie 'Spring Summer Autumn Winter and Spring' and the drama 'Queen Seondeok', and was nicknamed 'a professional monk actor'.
