  [Explanation] In the warehouse where the wheat is stored, Li Yingqiong, the person in charge of storage at Tianfu Granary, picked up a handful of wheat and placed it under his nose, using his sense of smell to perceive the changes in the odor of the wheat.

In addition to relying on sensory identification, there are more than 200 sensors hidden in the 6-meter-high grain pile in front of Li Yingqiong, monitoring the grain temperature in real time.

Li Yingqiong said that the granary is like a person, and the internal temperature reflects the "physical" condition of the granary.

  If the food situation is relatively stable, we will enter the warehouse for inspection once a week.

During the inspection, we will use the grain condition measurement and control system to detect the temperature for an analysis. If the temperature shows signs of fever (fluctuation), we will conduct a further review, and then deal with it according to the situation to ensure our food safety .

In addition, when we enter the warehouse, the custodian will focus on some parts, such as the door, under the window, the side of the warehouse, and under the aisle board, whether there is condensation or mold in these places.

In addition, we have to sensory appraisal to see if there is any significant change in the moisture content of this warehouse, and (the custodian) will catch it and smell it.

In addition, we must also look at whether it is moisturized and whether the moisture has increased.

  Previously, our warehouse was still a "Soviet-style warehouse" aided by the Soviet Union, which was a kind of small blue tile. Now we are all tall and large warehouses, and we have used low-temperature grain storage technology, and the freshness of the grain has been very good. Assure.

  [Explanation] How to maintain the quality of the grain in the granary during the rotation period?

The answer lies in the grain quality and safety inspection and monitoring center of "Tianfu Granary", which is also the "physical examination center" of grain.

  After each warehouse is full, we will ask a third-party inspection agency to check and accept the entire warehouse.

During the storage period, the grain quality census will be conducted in March and September each year.

When leaving the warehouse, we will entrust a third-party organization to inspect the quality of the grain.

The main testing indicators include conventional physical testing indicators, such as bulk density and roughness.

There are also storage quality tests, such as fatty acid value and wheat gluten water absorption rate, mainly to control changes in grain quality during storage.

The third is the hygiene index, which is the food safety index, which mainly includes heavy metals, such as cadmium, lead, and arsenic.

There are also mycotoxin indicators, such as aflatoxin B1 in rice, to ensure that the quality of the whole process from the purchase, storage and delivery of the grain is in line with the requirements of food safety and quality.

  The grain cooler is used to cool the whole warehouse of grain and grain piles to ensure that the grain (all year) is maintained below 15 degrees (about).

We have surface-level air-conditioning and temperature control units to ensure that the temperature of the granary is maintained between 15 and 20 degrees to prevent the temperature of the summer environment from being transmitted to the grain pile through the grain surface.

It is equivalent to a low temperature environment to keep the grain quality changes smaller, and the grains that are rotated out of the warehouse maintain the freshness.
