In Australia, a motorcycle thief set out on a breakneck chase with the police on a stolen tractor.

Queensland police on Saturday released video footage of a break-in in the city of Ipswich and the subsequent pursuit of the perpetrator.

The tractor driver lost the two stolen motorcycles, broke through metal barriers and drove along train tracks.

The recording of a surveillance camera shows how a man rams into the window of a shop with the front loader of a heavy agricultural machine early on Friday morning, attached two motorcycles on display to the front loader and drives away. According to the police, the man is said to have previously stolen his vehicle with which he is traveling. When the perpetrator tries to load his stolen property onto a truck, he is surprised by several police cars and escapes. Police footage then shows the man defying the officers' instructions and maneuvering the agricultural machine through suburban streets.

The tractor first loses the captured motorcycles and then the front loader.

The agricultural vehicle sped on anyway, breaks through a gate to a railway line and continues along the tracks.

According to the police, the chase ended when the tractor hit a tree.

According to the police, the burglar continued to flee on foot, but was tracked down and arrested in the tall grass near a stream with the help of police dogs.

The 41-year-old now has to answer for dangerous driving and escape from the police, among other things.

No one was injured in the incident.
