Embaló: "Since I have been president, there is no longer any drug trafficking in Guinea-Bissau"

The President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, met the French President in Paris on Friday, October 15, 2021. The opportunity for Emmanuel Macron to congratulate him for the fight waged in Guinea-Bissau against drug trafficking and corruption, but also for his mediation with the new authorities in Guinea since the overthrow of Alpha Condé.

Umaro Sissoco Embaló also denied any preparations for a coup in progress, the day after the boss of the Bissau-Guinean army said on this subject to the military police in Bissau.
