The heads of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, the Office of the Special Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao Special Administrative Region, the People's Liberation Army in Macao and other agencies, as well as the principal officials of the Special Administrative Region Government attended the swearing-in ceremony.

  Before the ceremony, all the people in the venue stood up and sang the "March of Volunteers".

All members of the Seventh Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region stated in their oath that they support and implement the "Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China", are loyal to the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, perform their duties, abide by the law, act honestly, and serve the Macao Special Administrative Region wholeheartedly. .

  The election of the 7th Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region was held on September 12 this year. There were 14 directly elected members and 12 indirectly elected members. The other 7 members were appointed by the Chief Executive.

The term of office of members of the seventh legislative council is four years.
