On October 8th, due to continuous rainfall, a mudslide occurred on the mountain in the mining area of China National Gold Group Shaanxi Taibai Gold Mining Co., Ltd. located in Taibaihe Town, Taibai County. Subsequently, the mudslide poured into the 1337 mine, causing 4 people to be trapped.
One person died unfortunately after being rescued on the day of the incident.
After the incident, Baoji City launched an emergency plan and established an on-site command to guide the rescue. The National Mine Emergency Rescue (China Gold) Qinling Team, Lueyang Gold Rescue Team, and the city and county rescue forces carried out rescue efforts.
The reporter learned from the Propaganda Department of the Taibai County Party Committee on the 15th that at 8 o'clock that day, the three people who had lost contact were found by rescuers. The medical staff confirmed that the three people had died unfortunately.
At present, the accident investigation team composed of the emergency management departments of Shaanxi Province and Baoji City is investigating the cause of the accident.
The reporter learned that Taibai County has experienced continuous heavy rainfall recently. The county held a joint meeting on flood prevention and protection work on October 5. The soil water is saturated in the area, rivers and rivers are soaring, natural disasters such as landslides and mudslides are prone to occur at a high rate, and the main roads such as Jiangmei Highway, Pantai Highway, and Taiyang Highway have been damaged to varying degrees.
