On the afternoon of October 14, local time, the Sino-Russian "Sea Joint-2021" joint military exercise opened in the waters near Peter the Great Bay in Russia.

According to the spokesperson of the Chinese Navy, Naval Colonel Liu Wensheng, this is a normal arrangement made by the Chinese and Russian navies in accordance with the annual plan.

The two sides will mainly focus on communication exercises, formations passing through mine threat areas, elimination of floating mines, formation air defense, sea shooting, joint maneuvering, joint anti-submarine and other subjects.

The exercise was held against the background of major changes and epidemics. The Chinese 10,000-ton destroyer, anti-submarine patrol aircraft and other multi-platform platforms went abroad for the first time.
