China News Service, Chifeng, October 15 (Reporter Li Aiping) At 5:10 am on the 15th, a strong earthquake of magnitude 4.7 occurred in Aluhorqin Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

According to the latest local official news, a total of 15 Sumu townships were affected by the earthquake.

  The earthquake that occurred in Aluhorqin Banner had its epicenter at 120.24 degrees east longitude and 44.2 degrees north latitude, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers and a resident population of about 1,400.

As of 14:00 on the 15th, there were 8 aftershocks, including 5 earthquakes with a magnitude of 2.0 or higher and the largest aftershock with a magnitude of 3.0.

  After the earthquake, the local flag committee government attached great importance to ensuring the safety of people's lives and property, and resolutely no casualties occurred.

The banner has dispatched three groups of personnel to the epicenter to learn more about the disaster situation at the epicenter, and to investigate and remove possible risks. The banner disaster prevention and relief center continues to observe the earthquake.

  As of press time, a total of 15 Sumu townships and sub-districts (including 100 Gacha villages, 12 cooperatives, and 10 communities) in Aluhorqin Banner were affected, involving 938 households with 2387 people, cracks in 1931 houses and cracks in warehouses. 8 of them were damaged, 19 of the greenhouses were damaged, and 21 of the sheds were cracked.
