October 14th is the Chongyang Festival, a traditional Chinese festival. In Chongqing’s first public rental housing complex, Minxinjiayuan, a group of "red vests" are busy making double ninth cakes and loving meals for the empty-nest elderly living in public rental housing.
It is understood that this group of "red vests" are volunteers from "Happy Knock at the door" and "Liu Niangniang Love Kitchen" in Jinshan Street, Liangjiang New District, Chongqing. They provide voluntary services such as meals and elderly care for the empty nest elderly in the community.
Among them, the "Liu Niangniang Love Kitchen" volunteer service project has delivered more than 700 meals to the empty nest elderly in the community since its establishment in 2020.
