When director David Gordon Green took on the Halloween universe, he skipped the long collection of more or less successful sequels that followed David Carpenter's 1978 original Debrah Hill film.

Halloween (2018) was the first part of a trilogy, and depicted the consequences for Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) who survived the serial killer Michael Myers and has since lived a life as a paranoid outsider.

When disaster strikes, she is equipped to the teeth - a film thriller in restoration and revenge.

But Michaael Myers survives, and in the sequel Halloween Kills (movie premiere on October 15), the fictional city of Haddonfield unites in the fight against evil.

Star actor Jamie Lee Curtis has often talked about the connections between Halloween (2018) and the metro movement, and even in Halloween kills she sees the times reflected in slasher format.
