China News Service reporter Shaoqing He

"I don't think I'm old anymore, they are really longevity." On the morning of the 13th, after chatting with the 106-year-old man next to him, Juquan'an, a villager in Huangshui Town, Shuangliu District, Chengdu, just turned 100 years old. He smiled and waved his hand to the longevity blessings of his children.

Not far from Ju Quan’an, 121-year-old Zhu Zheng took a family portrait surrounded by hundreds of descendants. Centenarian Yu Zeqin and his granddaughter recorded this warm scene with a mobile phone camera.

On the eve of the Double Ninth Festival, a special "Thousand Years Feast" was held in Shuangliu District, Chengdu.

Nine of the long-lived elders who attended the party were over a hundred years old. The "youngest" elder was Zhu Zheng's eldest daughter, but she was also 87 years old this year.

Although it was a dinner party to celebrate the Chongyang Festival, for these long-lived elderly people, people are more concerned about the "Longevity Code" than today's dishes. "How old are you" has become the greeting for most elderly people when they meet for the first time.

"Life is very good now. We don't pay attention to what young people do and what we eat in our old life." 105-year-old Zhou Huijun can no longer hear clearly, but she still keeps asking her children and grandchildren to help her greet the old people.

In order to attend this gathering, Yu Zeqin put on a red Tang suit that he would only wear on holidays.

"Every year before the Double Ninth Festival, we celebrate with grandma. Last year, grandma and six or seven elderly people of the same age ate hot pot. The year before last I took her to the amusement park." Yu Zeqin's granddaughter Cai Yun said that many young people do not even have holidays. There are not many exclusive festivals for the elderly. Young people should pay more attention to the elderly around them and give them the same way of paying attention to their own festivals.

Zhu Zheng enjoyed the "Thousand Years Feast" delicacies.

When the old people talked about "Birthday", the small farmhouse kitchen not far away was very busy.

"In order to celebrate the Chongyang Festival for the ancestors, I came to help at 6 o'clock this morning." The fourth generation of Zhu Zheng's Sun Tang Shiquan opened the steamer and sprinkled a lot of tender coriander on the steaming steamed meat.

He said that today, there are 16 authentic Sichuan farm dishes including stewed elbows and sugar-simmered white dishes. Considering that most of the diners are elderly people, "everyone cooks the dishes very well."

At noon, the longevity elders entered the table with the support of their children and grandchildren, and the "Thousand Years Feast" officially opened.

"You guys come to eat, don't be polite." As the oldest person, after Zhu Zheng greeted everyone, he first sandwiched a piece of meatballs for the elderly around him, and then started to enjoy the sugar in his bowl.

Zhu Zheng, who was born on the second day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar in 1900, is currently the oldest known old man in Chengdu, and is affectionately called "Chengdu's best post-00".

"My ancestor has never been far away, and the farthest place I have been to is the urban area of Chengdu where I live, so she likes to listen to younger generations telling outside stories." The great-granddaughter Guo Xiujuan introduced that every year the Double Ninth Festival is approaching, children and grandchildren will meet Came to the village to celebrate the festival for Zhu Zheng. Today, more than one hundred people came and set up ten tables.

At the end of the "Thousand Years Feast", many elderly people asked their children and grandchildren to help them walk in the courtyard.

Zhu Zheng, who is not yet full of fun, clinked with Yu Zeqin with a cup of hot soy milk, and laughed loudly in the ears of this hundred-year-old "little girl": "Happy, happy every year for the celebration of Chongyang!" (End)
