NB: Fifty-four African countries are supposed to participate in the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup. Twenty-eight of them first played a preliminary round, with home and away matches. The fourteen survivors, as well as twenty-six automatically qualified nations, were then divided into ten groups of four teams. Finally, the first of each group will take part in the jump-offs. The five winners of these round trips will represent Africa in Qatar.
