On October 12, China formally established the first batch of national parks such as Sanjiangyuan, Giant Panda, Siberian Tiger and Leopard, Hainan Tropical Rainforest, and Wuyi Mountain.

Wuyi Mountain is an important area for biodiversity protection in China. There is a very complete mid-subtropical native forest ecosystem.

On December 1, 1999, Wuyi Mountain was included in the "World Heritage List" by UNESCO as a dual heritage of nature and culture.

In 2016, Wuyishan National Park was listed as one of the first 10 national park system pilot areas in the country, exploring the "Wuyishan Sample" for the country to establish national parks in collective forest areas and key tourist areas.

Wuyishan National Park implements the concept of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains", implements the most stringent ecological protection measures, explores the establishment of a unified, standardized and efficient national park system, and basically forms a natural ecosystem of consultation, co-management, co-construction and sharing Protect the new model.
