I have been suffering from congenital muscular dystrophy since I was a child and I have never been able to stand up.

I am Liu Hanwen, a freshman of Yuanpei College, Peking University.
I can't keep a normal distance between reading and writing like other classmates. I must be as close to the book as possible, which is basically about 5 cm.
[Subtitles] Liu Hanwen was found to have uncorrectable low vision since he was a child. The distance he can see clearly is only about 5 cm.

I am very lucky. [Subtitle] In recent years, China's higher education for persons with disabilities has made positive progress.
In 2017, reasonable conveniences such as the provision of Braille and large-size test papers for the disabled to participate in the general college entrance examination, extension of the test time, and exemption of English listening tests were included in the regulations.
During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the number of people with disabilities admitted to ordinary colleges and universities was 57,477, an increase of 50.11% over the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period.
The "Inspirational Award for Disabled College Students" commended a total of 196 people from 2016 to 2020.
