  In Jingning County (Zhejiang Province), I was the first visually impaired student with books, and in Lishui area, I was the first undergraduate visually impaired student, and then this year became the first visually impaired student admitted to graduate school in Zhejiang Province student.

  I have been suffering from congenital muscular dystrophy since I was a child and I have never been able to stand up.

  When I was young, I watched TV and liked to watch science and education channels, so I planted a seed for space and space.

  I am Liu Hanwen, a freshman of Yuanpei College, Peking University.

I can't keep a normal distance between reading and writing like other classmates. I must be as close to the book as possible, which is basically about 5 cm.

  I am very lucky. Although I can’t see the stars at night, I can hear the wonderful melody of the music starry sky, and play the heavens on the piano through my fingers, dedicating the wonderful music to people; I’m very lucky, though I am struggling to read and write, but I can see colors, hear with ears, remember with my heart, and learn to think.

  [Subtitle] In recent years, China's higher education for persons with disabilities has made positive progress.

In 2017, reasonable conveniences such as the provision of Braille and large-size test papers for the disabled to participate in the general college entrance examination, extension of the test time, and exemption of English listening tests were included in the regulations.

  During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the number of people with disabilities admitted to ordinary colleges and universities was 57,477, an increase of 50.11% over the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period.

  The "Inspirational Award for Disabled College Students" commended a total of 196 people from 2016 to 2020.
