There is little dynamic in the seven-day incidence in Germany.

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Tuesday morning as 65.8.

For comparison: the previous day the value was 66.5, a week ago it was 63.6 (previous month: 80.2).

The health authorities in Germany reported 4971 new corona infections to the RKI within one day.

This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 4:19 a.m.

A week ago the value was 4799 infections.

According to the new information, 88 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 90 deaths. The RKI has counted 4,318,355 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.

According to the federal government, the proportion of vaccinated corona patients in intensive care units has increased.

On the basis of the data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the Federal Ministry of Health registered 1186 corona cases in the weeks from mid-August to early September that had to be "treated in intensive care", the newspapers of the Funke media group report in their Tuesday editions.

119 of the patients were vaccinated, and in 10.03 percent of the cases there was apparently a breakthrough in vaccination, the ministry said in a response to a request from the left-wing parliamentary group in the Bundestag, from which the newspapers quote.

More vaccination breakthroughs were expected

In a longer period from the beginning of February to the beginning of September, the proportion of vaccinated intensive corona patients was still 1.84 percent. “It is to be expected that more vaccination breakthroughs will be recorded over time, as more and more people are vaccinated and SARS-CoV-2 is currently spreading again more and more. This increases the likelihood of coming into contact with the virus as a fully vaccinated person, ”explains the RKI.

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days - the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions - was given by the RKI on Monday as 1.58 (Friday: 1.67).

A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences.

The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.

The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at 4,106,300.

The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 94,297.
