Recently, Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, came up with a trick to avoid planes hitting birds.
They reached an agreement with local pig farmers to gather 20 pigs near the runway.
The idea of the project is that the pigs will eat up the crop residues on the ground, which means that the geese and other birds will not forage here.
As the airport is built near farmland, it attracts a large number of birds all year round to come for food. According to statistics, there are about 7 bird collision incidents per 10,000 flights.
