So many people questioned that the plaque of the Shenyang Imperial Palace was written incorrectly?

　　In fact, this is not the case, but we are misled by the phrase "respect the right", thus ignoring the two problems of history and writing.

We all know that the Forbidden City in Beijing was built by Ming Cheng Zu Zhu Di, and naturally only Chinese characters are used on the plaque.

After the Qing Dynasty entered the customs, the plaque was changed to Manchu, Mongolian and Chinese inscriptions.

In the early Manchu zhixingshu, the writing method was written from left to right, and they believed that "the left is the big one", but the writing method of the Chinese zhixingshu was exactly the opposite.

However, as the Qing Dynasty entered the Central Plains and continued to merge with the Chinese culture, the writing style naturally changed.

Therefore, the plaques in the Forbidden City in Beijing are written from right to left in the Chinese straight script, "Manchu on the right and Chinese on the left".

　　The Shenyang Forbidden City was built before the Qing Dynasty entered the Pass. The writing style of the Zhixingshu still stayed in the early left-to-right custom. Emperor Qianlong respected the ancestors' early writing style when rebuilding the Forbidden City and modifying the plaque. Therefore, the Shenyang Forbidden City The plaque is what we now see "Manchu on the left and Chinese on the right".

Therefore, the plaque in the Shenyang Imperial Palace is not written wrong, nor is it "respecting the right", but the result of "respecting the first."
