The Egypt team has not yet qualified for the last round of the African qualifiers for the

2022 World Cup.

But the Egyptians are not very far after their 3-0 victory against Libya on October 11. 2021 in Benghazi.

Thanks to this success, the Pharaohs have in fact almost eliminated the Knights of the Mediterranean from the race for first place in Group F.

Mohamed Salah and his gang now have 10 points against 6 for Libya, two days from the end of these qualifiers.

A logical result as the seven-time champions of Africa were effective, three days after a shorter victory (1-0 in Alexandria) against these same Libyans.

Successful start for Carlos Queiroz

In the 39th minute, Ahmed Fatouh concludes for example a beautiful Egyptian collective movement with a dry strike of the left foot: 0-1.

Shortly after, it was Mostafa Mohamed who doubled the bet with a crossed header: 0-2, 45th + 4.

In the second period, the selection now coached by the Portuguese Carlos Queiroz controls and even widens the gap via Ramadan Sobhy: 3-0, 72nd.

This score puts Egypt in an ideal situation before playing in Angola (day 5) and receiving Gabon (day 6) in November.
