The water area covers an area of 630,000 square meters, and it is close to the main entrance passage of Kashgar along the line, and echoes the landscape belt along the Tuman River and East Lake Park. Together, it forms the ecological urban landscape belt group of Kashgar.
Before the renovation, the area was an abandoned brick factory, messy fish ponds, breeding farms, etc. The surrounding sewage was directly discharged into the river, and a large amount of domestic garbage was accumulated on both sides and surrounding wastelands. The pollution problem was very serious.
In order to better protect the wetlands, the total local investment is about 170 million yuan to build a comprehensive urban park, while at the same time restoring the small ecological system of green spaces on both sides of the Tuman River to maximize the ecological quality of the city.
Now, Beihu Park has not only become a habitat for many wild animals, but also a good place for citizens to relax and entertain. The surrounding area has also become more comfortable and livable, and its ecological and social benefits have improved significantly.
