More than 30 people died after poisoning with fake alcohol in Russia

More than 30 people have died in southern Russia after drinking fake alcohol, the government of the Russian city of Orenburg announced on Sunday.

The first deaths were recorded on the seventh of October, and the number of victims continued to rise.

The number of victims of adulterated alcohol consumption reached 32 deaths, in addition to 64 injured.

Nine people were arrested on charges of producing adulterated alcohol and smuggling prohibited alcohol.


The National Investigative Committee in Moscow took over the investigation into the accident.
