coffee without social media

It is very confusing to see the cafes full of customers and those that are empty, although the latter are luxurious and never less than their full counterparts.

What increases the demand for a coffee shop and alienates people from the other, if the service and location are appropriate in empty cafes?

People here focus on new fads.

People are bored trying a certain thing for a while and leave the café for another to try what's new there and document this on "Social Media".

The result is that the crowds of followers go to try that thing in cafe “A” and leave it for the other thing in cafe “B” .. and so on.

This is why Café A is crowded for a period of time that may extend to a year, then suffers a decline in customers’ turnout until he changes his dessert and drink menu and starts advertising it through “Social Media” again in order to seize the customers he lost to Café B.

In the menu of each of these cafes there are the usual drinks: black coffee, cappuccino, cafe latte.

And there are the special drinks crowned with the Signature drink, or what distinguishes this café from others, and about which the waitress lectures you, lecturing even the child reveals its falsity, because she memorizes the words by heart.

Signature drinks are very ordinary and nothing distinguishes them except for excess sugar. They get publicity they do not deserve on “Social Media” and attack the masses to try the new. Because “Social Media” is based on falsehood and deception, the affected customer convinces himself that this drink is the best and everyone believes the lie.

Other cafes write the word “popular” or “in great demand” on a particular food, which is another marketing ploy no less brilliant than the “Social Media” promotional tricks.

Situations

In a café, I asked for hot chocolate. The waitress told me that they didn't have what I ordered, but the Signature drink had coffee and hot chocolate, so I ordered it.

She asked me about my opinion, and I told her that there was nothing special about it, and if I came back to you, I would not order it again.

In the same café two weeks later I ordered hot chocolate from the same waitress, who brought it to me and forgot that she had told me it wasn't available two weeks earlier when she forced me to order a Signature, and the hot chocolate was poorly prepared with powder.

I sat in a new café for me, the waiter came to me and I told him I don’t know what to choose, he helped me, so he started preparing special drinks for me from customers, so I asked him what is the drink that no one asks for?

He laughed loudly and was silent, so I knew that he was lying, so I told him, “Give me anything that no one asks on my responsibility and I will pay for it.” He said, “I don’t know anything that no one asks for.” I told him, “You don’t tell the truth. Not all of your drinks are loved by everyone.” He kept smiling and refused to answer.

In all the European cities I visited, people demand the usual drinks and are not obsessed with frenzy and experimenting with the new. There is an appreciation for coffee and its derivatives, as there is a similar appreciation for the antiquity of cafes. People there go to a cafe because of the quality of its coffee or its heritage and its history spanning more than a century, and not for the sake of a Signature drink that is impossible to market. Without social media.
